SHUTTLE OFFER FOR UN-CREWED 50-MILE AND 50-KILOMETER RUNNERS:On race morning, chartered vans will leave the finish line area at Higgs Beach in Key West where you may park your vehicle.  At 7:00AM the 50-mile van will depart for the Marathon Garden Club property in Marathon for pre-race check-in, orientation and the race start.  At 10:30AM the 50-kilometer van will depart for the Chamber of Commerce property in Big Pine Key for pre-race check-in, orientation and the race start. This provides the option for un-crewed 50-mile and 50K runners to leave their cars near the finish line so that they are readily accessible after the race.  To help defray cost of these chartered shuttles, the cost is $20 for the 50-mile shuttle and $15 for the 50-kilomerter shuttle. Reserve your seat (required) when registering for the race.  You may also reserve at a later date if space is available, by logging into your "RunSignUp" account and selecting the shuttle "add-on" option.

Qualifying military teams only will be eligible to win a military competition award AND an overall competition award.

ACTIVE MILITARY & FIRST RESPONDERS ENTRY FEE DISCOUNTS--INDIVIDUAL RACES AND TEAM RELAY

Active military and first responders are eligible for a registration fee discount of  20% for the individual and team relay races.  Refer to the pricing section near the bottom of the "Registration" page for details.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS ABOUT MILE MARKERS

There are small, rectangular, stand-alone green and white signs in place along the entire length of Overseas Highway. These Mile Markers ("MM") count DOWN in the Keys from the race start in Key Largo at approximately MM100 all the way to Key West.  After running 30 miles, for example, you will be at Mile Marker 70, not MM30.  Similarly for the 50 mile race: after running 30 miles, you will see MM20, not Mile Marker 30. IMPORTANT: Once arriving in Key West and turning left onto the sidewalk on South Roosevelt Blvd., mile markers no longer apply.  You will see a few, but ignore them!  When you make that turn, you will be approximately four miles from the finish line on Higgs Beach.  All mile markers and references are approximate.
