Staggered Race Starts

Race Start

All races, except 50-kilometer, will have groups of approximately twelve (12) runners starting the race at 5-minute intervals. The 50-kilometer race will allow fifteen (15) runners per starting corral.

Individual runners and teams will be mixed together at the start for the 100-mile and 50-mile distances.

Starting time/corral placement will be selected by the individual runner when they register, first-come, first-served. ASSIGNMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE IN THE RACE DIRECTOR'S SOLE DISCRETION WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF THE SELECTED TIME. Team Captains will select a preferred time subject to availability and effort will be made to honor those preferences. AGAIN, THESE ASSIGNMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE IN THE RACE DIRECTOR'S SOLE DISCRETION. KEYS100® official times are "net"--i.e., the clock starts when the runner crosses the start line timing mat.

100-mile races staggered starts begin at 5:40 am, after limited elite corrals beginning at 5:15am.

50-mile race staggered starts begin at 9:00 AM

50-kilometer race staggered starts begins at Noon.

Cut-Off times

Interim cut-off times are in effect for the 100-mile races

100 mile individual and team races: 32 hours to complete the course beginning when the runner crosses the start line timing mat.

50 mile individual and team races: 20 hours to complete the course beginning when the runner crosses the start line timing mat.

50 kilometer race: 12 hours to complete the course beginning when the runner crosses the start line timing mat.

Interim cut-off times are in effect for the 100-mile races

There are no interim cut-off times for the 50-mile and 50-kilometer races.

For 2025, the following cut-offs will be enforced at each of these timing "stations" no matter the runner's start time. All runners and teams must cross all timing mats before the sites close. Failure to make all cut-offs will be considered "DNF"— "Did Not Finish".

Mile Marker 90 at Coral Shores High School: 11:00am

Mile Marker 74.9, just past Sandy Cove Avenue: 4:00pm

Mile Market 59.3 at Keys Cable Park: 8:30pm

Mile Marker 50 at Marathon Garden Club: 11:00pm

Mile Marker 40 at Veterans Park, west end of Seven Mile Bridge: 2:00am (Sunday)

Mile Marker 25 at the Circle K store on Summerland Key: 7:00am (Sunday)

Mile Marker 10 at Circle K Shell station on Big Coppitt Key: Noon (Sunday)

FINISH LINE, Higgs Beach--Refer to "Total time allowed to complete the race".
